Bustling new city In the Suburb

If you are wondering where to stay to avoid the famous Jakarta's traffic jam, Stop looking elsewhere, BSD is the answer. With total land size of Approximately 6.000 Ha, BSD is the biggest development area in Indonesia.

BSD or “Bumi Serpong Damai” is located in Tangerang Selatan and Tangerang district. The area has hilly contours with clearer air than most areas in Jakarta. The cool air that makes it so comfortable for people to live in this area.

This city is developed by one of the prestigious property developers in the country, and I must say that they are doing a good job producing neat and organised structures. Now, when we talk about the suburb, our mind imagines a newly developed city with new houses, modern sports facilities, malls and entertainment with tons of eating spots. This is exactly what BSD looks like.

Family Recreation Places

Why is BSD being so likeable? The developer arranges the city with greens and many excitements, especially for young families with kids. Not like downtown where only malls are available for leisure, this place offers many more places: climbing areas, water boom, Extreme Park as well as beautiful business areas. Well…If you were wondering if this area has malls, yes! They do. There are a couple of Malls in this area. In fact, this place offers many options if in terms of shopping.

A huge PLUS is that many of those places in this area are outdoor! With the ongoing pandemic, this is clearly important to those that value their health.

Education Centre

One of the reasons this area is a HIT, is that the developer invites so many education institutions. From some of the private schools’ franchises to international schools. Together with neighboring area Bintaro, they probably have around 10 international schools and many countless private schools. These schools’ existence of course attracts new families into this area. Parents don’t want their kids to travel so far, right? The thing is, many of them are still working in the city, but no worries…. With public transportation such as buses and trains, Jakarta is just a hair’s breadth away.

New Developed Business Areas

Another reason why BSD is a great place to stay is because of the newly built business hub. The infrastructure is fantastic over here, you have the feeling that you are in another country. The green urban concept combining entertainment, business and residential is a bright idea, the developer certainly didn’t forget about the aesthetic. Who said business offices must be dull and boring? BSD city has proven that is not the case by making it all look good.

Place for Community

Although it's far away from skyscrapers, this place is a perfect place for community. They have a lot of variety for hang out spots which is always good. One of the factors making life easier for expats are good restaurants, well... we haven’t seen many Michelin star restaurants here like in Kemang, but it’s getting there. Big franchise restaurants are here already, and many expats are now trying to open restaurants that fits their pallet.

If you are the type to party on the weekends and you like to go crazy in pubs, don’t expect to have that here. This place is all about being cozy. You still need to go to Jakarta for that, but if your idea of partying is a casual drinking with friends, you can do it here in the new BSD area where alcohol is permitted.

This area provides many sports facilities for those who love sports. Beautiful sports clubs, horse ranches and bicycling pedestrian spots will ensure you’re in top shape. We can also see some people bicycling in the morning. Point is, what is a place without community? We humans are social creatures that need each other. With international schools, fantastic infrastructure and recreational places within our doorsteps, this place offers a comfortable place for all, including the growing number of expats in the area.
